Public Art > Youth Mural / Teaching Artist
Teaching young, aspiring talent is a great pleasure with many rewards. The Harwood Art Center has been a primary facility that has worked with me to co-create opportunities for mural classes offered to elementary and middle school students across the city.
In 2014, The Youth Mural Project was launched as an after school program to engage and facilitate creative output from young artists. The program's basic impulse was to provide an open and engaged environment to create original artworks within a colaborative environment, and to encouraged personal development into large scale artworks. As lead artist, I integrated basic and intemediate level painting techniques while inspiring students to design their own imagery, palette and compositions.
The Summer Art Camp at Harwood is an integration of all ages and levels of artistic ability merging to create fun and engaging murals.
